About Me

Welcome to my page! My name is Jeff, I am a recent Aerospace Engineering graduate with a passion for the aviation industry. I completed my MEng degree in Aerospace Engineering at the University of the West of England (UWE) in 2021. Although I am a new graduate with no industry experience, I have gained a solid foundation in aerospace engineering principles and have developed my skills through academic projects and internships.

Throughout my academic journey, I completed various projects that challenged me to apply my knowledge of engineering to real-world problems. For instance, I designed and optimized the aerodynamics of multi element wing using Computational Fluid Dynamics (Fluent), redesigned the UWE subsonic wind tunnel using CAD (Solidworks) and CFD, and analysed the performance of a turbojet engine using GasTurb. These projects have helped me develop a deep understanding of aerospace engineering concepts, while also developing my critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. In addition, I had the opportunity to complete a summer internship with my University, where I researched and analysed the current and future direction of the University's research output. This experience gave me hands-on experience in conducting data collection and research.

Currently I work full-time as a warehouse operative for the Salvation Army Trading Company as a member of the team responsible for unloading trailers and sorting recyclable materials. Through the company's reuse and recycling schemes, our work reduces the impact on overflowing landfill sites by extending the useful life of products and minimising waste while also raising money for charity. In my spare time I continue to develop my skills, for example one of my current goals is to improve my proficiency with Python programming language.
